6 months timelapse

Hi, I am using Git2 for a 6months timelapse video project. I shoot pictures at 30 min interval, Git2 is in the plastic cage with power cable plug in. I have started couple days ago and after 3 days the camera switched off itself.

Any recommendations or suggestions what to do? Would taking battery out help? Maybe the battery gets overheated when constantly pluged in power and then the camera switch offs.

I am only able to get to the place once per 14 days, so I have to make sure the camera is working properly.

Yes, remove battery and plug camera to reliable power source.
Sensor works all time, so camera is heating. You have to provide enough space to prevent overheating. Use fast memory card (u3 instead of u1). Make sure the camera system setting Auto Power Off = Off.
