Broken Mount connection

My camera had just stopped turning on all together, not in parking mode or when the engine was on. I took it out and it worked fine connected to my laptop so I then checked the fuses and they were all fine too. So I've now connected the power cable directly to the camera and not thru the mount and its all working fine again seems to have been the mount notp
powering the camera for some reason.
So I'm just wondering if anyone else's mount has broken like this and what they've done to fix it. It's a little more messy the way I have to have it connected now. I'm also unsure if it will affect the gps or other functions the way I have it now. Thanks

Hello,

Did you turn on Custom Info Stamp in the setting menu? If the shown GPS information on the screen is correct, it means except stops powering the dashcam the function of recording speed and route data is good.

You can use a multimeter to check if the GPS mount's pin or socket is broken referring to this post.
