I’ve been using it as dashcam for 6 months and it appears that sometimes when I unlock the car (the 12v would have power without ignition being turn on)… it would turn on and charge (either with live screen charging or white screen with battery display charging) but not auto start recording (I’ve turned it on in the setting). However; it would sometimes record when I unlock the car. It appears to be a random occurrence. Sometime when I press the record button…it would start recording then after several minutes… it would go back to the white screen with battery display charging.
What’s I’ve done
I’ve tried taking the battery out, update to 1.4 firmware, default setting, loop recording (2 mins), auto start (on), auto off (2 mins) and used two different cables.
I am on the edge of my seat to buy the Git2 for my action cam but if the Git1 isn’t working properly as dashcam then I am forced to buy the XiaoYi dash cam and use the Git1 as action cam.
