I own the Git1 & Git2. Has anyone found a good way to edit video in the field?
I own a Wifi RAVPower Micro SD Card Reader (http://www.ravpower.com/dp/B00L9TEIMW).

For awhile I was able to take out the SD card from the Gitup action camera and view and transfer video clips to my ipad with the use of the RAVPower card reader. The RAVpower device has wifi and an app on the iPad to access everything stored on the card.

After some IOS updates it no longer allows me to take the footage and transfer it.

Has anyone found a quick way to save long clips? Or a device that assists?
The 2nd party apps that people have suggested that read the Gitup wifi signal aren't that stable and in my experience crash. Please share if you have a method.

In a nutshell: How can i move video from micro SD card to my iPad --without the need for a PC computer and cloud service (like Dropbox)?

you should be able to use a normal ipad usb sdcard reader and a micro to standard sd adapter.
whether that will move video tho.

on an android tablet like nvidia shield it would be trivial, i do that on shield all the time.

hi Alistair Parsons, Thanks for the response.
I connected a USB to iPad lightning cable adapter to the Git2. My ipad air2 and iphone 6s both had the same message saying, "Cannot use Device. Git2: The connected device requires too much power."
I also tried connecting only a USB mirco SD card reader attached to the lightning cable adapter and my ipad and iphone both responded saying the (adapter) device not enough power.
I have made the same attachment with a Zoom H4 (action camera) and it was has been able to successfully extract videos from it.
I would much rather use the Git2 which is smaller and has better video quality.

I mispoke. It is the Zoom Q4 action camera. That's the model i have.
The way i got video from the camera to my ipad is .....I connected it via Lightning connector (link provided) to the USB power cord that plugs directly for the Zoom camera.

FYI, the Zoom camera is somehow equipment for this as it has "ipad" listed in its menu options when you connect the camera. On page 22 of its manual it explains this: https://static.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/90872.pdf
