"old" git2 gyro better than git2p gyro???

Hello,

its about git2 170 and git2p 170.

Based on review material on the web, I believe git2 has the best stabilization of all action cams( apart from the sony action cam ones) - am I right? Stabilization is the major feature which I demand from an action cam.
In that review the reviewer claims that git2p stabilization is weak:

Now if git2p has weaker gyro than git2, then I would buy rather the original git2.

Now my question is: is git2p stabilization weaker than the original git2 stabilization?

Git2 has a bit better gyro in 1.6 firmware.
Git2p 170 has only v1.0 firmware and some issues at this time that are fixable by firmware update.

Normally Git2p has the same stabilization with Git2 since the two use the same Lens.

Your site still shows firmware as v1.0 for 170 degree git2p. Am seeing really bad smearing/blurring when using the gyro. Really disappointed, as like most people, the gyro was a big part of the decision to purchase.

I have seen vids on YouTube of the git2p using gyro and looking fine. Is my model defective?

Your site still shows firmware as v1.0 for 170 degree git2p.

Please check your firmware version via System menu. If you have v1.0-1225 then you have to update your firmware.
These are new firmware updates for Git2P 170 and Git2P 90. Firmwares from Git2 (Sony sensor) are not compatible with Git2P (Panasonic sensor):
