Hi,
I have a Git2 and a G3 and the biggest frustration with both of these is the ability to use a external power source and a external mic at the same time.
While there is a cable it's MONO only for some reason.
For your next camera please add a 3.5mm microphone jack or add another USB port like on the G3 that can support the external microphone.
The best thing would be to simply add a 3.5 mm jack and avoid the frustration of adapters etc.
Also please ensure that the when the external mic is used that it supports stereo and DISABLES the internal microphone. Having both active like in the G3 causes the internal one to pick up wind noise even if you cover it with tape.
