Turn off automatic record on startup

Hi there,

My son have me this thing several years ago and I never had a need for it until now.

I'm going on a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway and want to use the camera to record the trip.

Only, I don't want it to start recording on startup until I press the record.

Is there a setting for this?

Hello,

Sorry to tell you that the dashcam starts recording when the ignition is on. There is no setting to stop this.

Or you can press the Rec button to stop the recording first, and then turn off the beep sound in the setting menu and only start recording when you want.
