Work with RAW photos

I recently updated my Git2 to v1.5.

Before the update (was running on v1.4) I was able to convert die RAW photos with https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=6070 which worked pretty well.

After updating to v1.5 Adobe DNG Converter does not recognise the RAW photos.
Now I have to use the tool mentioned here: http://www.gitup.com/forum/index.php?threads/how-to-use-the-raw-file-on-git2.10/
which does not work as good as the Adobe DNG Converter did (colors are pretty bad).

Any idea why the Adobe DNG Converter does not recognise the RAW photos anymore after the update to v1.5?

Hi, i have the same problem.

Have you find a other software to convert the files?

Thank you! Lutz

Hello,

Firmware RAW files created with firmware 1.5 and 1.6 of Git2 can not be converted with Adobe software https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=6070. Supposedly it should have worked with the firmware 1.4 still.

Can someone confirm this?

What is the reason?

Perhaps the developers can sometimes give a statemant or a way to show how to use the RAW files at all. Otherwise the RAW option is useless.

Thank you! Lutz

Any news about that? Why RAWs aren't recognised by Adobe DNG converter. It something is RAW file it should be opened with any RAW file converter that's the same with any other formats (e.g. if I have .txt file, it should be opened with any text editor and nobody should say you have to download something special - moreover if that recomended program is not user friendly and requires use of .bin file).

Every RAW file I converted with your converter was horribly red even after the color corection and it doesn't seem to me to be working very well. If it won't be ever possible to be able to use Adobe DNG Converter, then please improve your RAW converter to be user friendlier and correct color correction.

It depends on Adobe. The Git2 raw will be recognized when it will be added to the Adobe's converter database.
I still use these two applications from Git2 site: http://www.gitup.com/forum/index.php?threads/how-to-use-the-raw-file-on-git2.10/
As for red tint, it can be corrected with the second application (CorrectDNG).
Here is an example of my photo:
