Had a bit of a play - haven't got any further with switching screen off, but camera appears to support 320x240, 640x480, 1280x720 & 1920x1440 modes as a webcam on both Git2 & 3. I haven't tried any other features yet.

I was wondering if it is possible to turn the screen off when using the camera as a webcam. having the screen on is a waste of power and it gets quite warm. Question applies to both the Git2 & Git3.

A while back I came across a post - I can't remember where - that said you could change the startup logo screen. Can anybody tell me how to do this as trying to find the post/article that mentioned how to do it is drawing blanks.
