external condensor microphone not working turing screen off

hello

i have used in the past different camera's en connected a external condensor microphone with its own battery for good sounds quality now i bought this one because i needed wifi to see what i'm filming
but my microphone is not want to connect with the camera i have a mini usb adapter but i will shut the screen off and the sounds is not recording trough the external mic
i know git up is selling a external mic but that is just a chest mount mic. and will neer give the high quality i'm looking for

so what is solution for this problemon my old camera it was working perfect
is there something i can do about it

Hello. I have exactly the same problem.. I just got my Git2 about 2 days ago and I'm trying to use my Sony ECMCS3 microphone with an adapter and as soon as I plug the adapter, my camera screen goes black. I have no idea if its recording cause I'm waiting for my new 64GB SD Card but the screen goes black.
Please let us know, whats the deal with that.

Seems like your adapter turns AV-out on.
