Files will not play on phone

A129 Pro Duo. Files show on the app. Pick a thumbnail and it comes up, but when I press the "play" arrow all I get is a black screen with a white circle surrounding a wiggly line.
If this is a duplicate post forgive me since I couldn't find it just now.

Thank you for the response. I'm trying to play the videos thru the Viofo app on my phone, an LG Stylus4.
I confess to being computer-ignorant, I don't know what VLC is. I've never uploaded a video or anything, but I'll see if I can figure it out.
I don't think the problem is the phone since I could play videos from the A129 Pro in my other car (before it developed a WIFI problem making it useless also - see my other post)
I tried a RESET on the other cam but not this one yet. I'll give that a try next.
