I have my camera set to auto event mode, and set to low. Camera seems to record nothing moving most of the time. I have a red blinking light on the dash, at the windshield that is the cars security system from the factory. Could this trigger my camera to record in parking mode?

Yes, a blinking light could cause the camera to record. Cover it up and see if it helps.
