Problem of sharpness. poor image quality?

Try setting the ISO to 100 or even 50 instead of auto. Set the EV to -2/3 and give it a try. The camera has a very high pixel cmos which means it needs more light then lower resolution cameras. Take it outside on a sunny day and this camera will blow your mind on the quality of images.
This is an Action camera that needs a lot of light. Indoor lighting will not cut it. If you are doing still photos use a longer exposure and you will see how wonderful the pics are. If you need to do indoor video, use bright lighting. Action cameras are also not meant for close up shots because their close focus is usually a 1/2 meter meaning you are not going to read a newspaper with the resulting picture. Use it for what it is, an Action cam for outdoors as it excels at that. Use a camera for indoor pictures that has a flash (wonder why even expensive cameras need a flash??) and for indoor videos, use bright lights or a camera that has a lower pixel count with excellent low light image taking

I have checked the quality of the photos today in good sunny conditions and you are right. The quality is really good.
But the video quality is not so good. The colors are poor. Check the attached screenshots from my video (filmed in: 1080P/60fps).

Looks like colors are washed out. I would reset your camera to factory default settings and try again. Maybe playing with all the settings that you did something is now not right.
If resetting to default (do it via the menu do not try to undo what you have done) does not work then maybe the camera is faulty. I would suggest a replacement because they are great cameras.

Also do not enlarge the capture images from the video that large. 1080p is only like 2.1 Megapixels. The picture taking is using the camera feature is 16Mpixels.
Double the size of a youtube video will keep your image qaulity anything above that you start to lose quality.

Yes they are awesome because the picture taking part of the camera is 16Mpixels.
Try 1440P and also 1296p and 2160p
You can blow up those larger then 1080p but they are a slower frame rate. Do not get discouraged as these little cameras take some work to understand the best settings.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will try reset-ing it. But I didn't make any changes, only thing I made is the firmware update (I was hopeing but no changes in video quality was done).
Checking you're video I see the difference in colors but in sharpness is the same. I will try to make 2K videos to see if it's better after reseting it to factory default.

Excellent pictures Istvan88. I also photographs on a sunny day with normal settings. the results have been good. the problem was the video, when I put the video files on the computer has been little clarity on inagen. also with the normal configuration.
Do you have the giro "on"? because the giro doesn't work well in low light.

I have just made my first tests with the git2 and it has disappointed me for the excess of sharpness that applies even in the videos with sharpness in "Normal", what causes in many occasions that the borders see as if shines and even with double contour or image. The bad thing is that if we adjust the sharpness in "Soft" we obtain the opposed efect and then the videos seem as something unfocused or blurred. This excess of sharpness is noticed especially when the Giro is not activated and with the angle of vision is in wide, that is to say, when there is not a processed extra of the image. The combinations more balanced in sharpness are those that have the giro on and the angle of vision in wide or those that have the giro off but the angle of vision in narrow. This processed extra by the stabilization or the reduction of the angle of vision seems that it mitigates the excess of sharpness that is applied, but I find even this way a little exaggerated.
I know that there will be people that even like this effect, this sharpness is unreal. I like maximum sharpness in the videos and photos, but without it causes secondary effects, as what I have indicated at the beginning of shines and double contour.
Maybe I make a mistake, but it gives me the sensation that the image processor applies a very aggressive reduction of noise even with good light and later it tries to compensate the effects also applying a focus very aggressive, what gives place to a result not too good and with many artefacts in the image, at least in my opinion.
Another possibility is that my camera has come faulty, but this effect type, seems more a processed of image too aggressive right that a camera defect.
As I have already said that there will be people that even like this efect, I believe that in a new firmware version it would be very interesting that included an option to adjust the reduction of noise manually and that the adjustment of the sharpness could be made more accurate. Instead of using Soft, Normal and Strong, it could put on a range between -3 and +3, but where the 0 were well calibrated. This range could also be used in the option to adjust the reduction of noise. Even it would be welcomed options to adjust the contrast and the color saturation, because these two factors influence a lot in the aspect of the image including the sensation of sharpness.
Lastly I believe that it is necessary to mention that usually when going up the videos to Youtube they lost always something of quality and sharpness, for what in the original videos this excess of sharpness that I am commenting is still bigger than in the videos that you can see in Youtube.
I had many hopes in this camera and I continue thinking that it can end up being a very good camera, but I won't be able to enjoy it until it was corrected this problem with some firmware upgrade or include options that allow the users to adjust the parameters related directly with the image quality to our pleasure.
You can see the problem in ths video that I found in Youtube. It is a comparative between Xiaomi and Git2, but the important is that you see in the Git2 video the borders of the image with the excess of sharpness that produces shines, artefacts and double contour.
