I wonder what he is basing this on.

This HDR feature makes significant improve in difficult light conditions in STATIC of when you record the cars moving the same directions with you. But car plates and cars in the lanes going towards you has doubled image and absolutely unreadable. Even if speed is about 30-40 kmh. Using now newest 2.1 firmware. Attached is two the same places taken with and without HDR...
