A129 firmware v1.9 going into USB mass storage mode randomly? Anyone having this issue?

Some car USB act as a memory stock reader, ie put some mp3 on a usb memory stick and car can play them. So when you plug in some dash/action cams the car tries to read the contents, so camera goes in to storage mode.

Quick fix is to use the cigarette lighter adapter to connect to 12v socket, or to cut the data wire inside the USB cable if youre sure you can identify.
There may be a way to disable mass storage mode, i dont have an A129 so cant check.

I turned auto play from media devices off

that wont stop the camera thinking its plugged in to a USB host device.

Don't use your cars USB port as these are not suited for powering a dash camera. They are also usually under powered.

Bug of car. As CYA says, its also underpowered

Make sure the USB cable does not contain a data wire. Are you using the supplied Viofo long USB power cord?

Normally if you use the 4 meters original USB charger cable, it will be only used for charging, not for data transfer.
If you saw mass storage mode, it means the camera enter the data transfer mode.
