I purchased this combination because I was told that they both could work after a firmware update. I updated to the latest from the site. Hooked up the cameras and they both turn on. But the IR lights on the interior camera seem to not be working. So what is going on?

How do you know they are not working (you can't really see the lights when they are on)? Is the car cabin image at night just too dark? What do you have the IR color set to in the menu?
