View media item 1So after reading far to many reviews I finaly decided to order my gitup 2. It arrived today and after charging and fw upgrades, I started to record a few videos. Well disapointment is the only thing I can say. Watch the video and see for yourself. There is a small smudge on the lens in the bottom left and as you can see in the dark the amount of dead pixels is just crazy. I will be returning to Amazon and get the unit replaced as I do think that this is not the norm but hope replacement will be up to the job.

May I know where you bought the camera, have you replaced it yet? If not do you mind to replace the lens with sensor by self?

After reading an equally large number of reviews before buying, my Git2 arrived last Sunday (within 4 days of ordering on Amazon too - nice!), but sadly I've got the same problem with what appears to be dust in the lens (see smudge/dark spot at top right of attached pic) - can I ask Gitup what the effect on warranty would be if I was to replace the lens with sensor myself? Obviously I would prefer a replacement, but I need the camera for going away next week and would obviously prefer smudge-free footage...

Have to say though, apart from this little problem I'm loving the Git2 - it's a great little camera, extraordinarily good value for the money too!

If you can replace the lens on your side, that would be OK, don't worry about the warranty.

Thank you for your quick reply - it looks a fairly straightforward task, I'll look into giving it a go using the video links on here - cheers!
