v 1.6 firmware
Tried 2 different SJCAM batteries which people on here confirmed were compatible - the camera just shuts down after a few seconds of "low battery" message onscreen when I use them.
The camera does work on USB cable power, no problems really. Getting the cable to appear to 'charge' the battery can be finnicky but I think that's normal maybe. The camera does appear to charge the batteries I've tried. I've also tried different chargers (such as an external smart wall charger unit with it's own battery meter display showing they were fully charged).
Any ideas? I'm ready to return it to amazon at this point now but would really rather not, as I got it under a discount which they had only 1 in stock for, so if buying again I might need to spend an extra 40 dollars or something.
