How Do you Get Sony ECM-CS3 External Mic Working With Git2?

Hi

I'very looked on this forum a number of times and it seems really helpful so i'very just joined.

I bought a Git2 and a Sony ECM-CS3 external mic last week as, after researching, they appeared to be compatible with each other. However, I've tried 2 mini USB to 3.5mm adaptors now and neither works; the Git2 simply doesn'the even recognise that anything's plugged in. I knowbit's not a fault with the mic as my bridge camera recognises and records through it with no issues.

Please can someone point me in the right direction for a cost effective adaptor that will work as I need to be able to use an external mic with it as I can'trade find an answer anywhere - it's one of the main reasons I went for the Git2.

Thanks a lot for your reply! I've been researching and I've ordered the bits to make my own cable, but if that dorsn'the work I'll definitely look this up.
