I have marine bettery which I use sometimes for my boat. Since I have gas motor I do not use it to often and I'm thinking about placing it in my car as a long term recording PWR. Just wanted to ask if anybody has some solutions ?
By term long recording I mean 3-5 days (time laps) or so. Obviously I could connect the cam through lighter plug but need a controller to not to drain it completely. any recommendations ? I would prefer to use car battery and extra marine battery exchangably (if possible).

We recommend you buy a hardwire kit cable to not drain the battery.

Couldn't you have a regulator hard wired from the car to the battery and the dash can wired to the battery. That way, your camera only draws from the battery and the battery gets power from the car until the car's battery gets too low?
