Replacing the capacitor

So I've had the date/time issue on my unit and Gitup sent me a replacement capacitor with no instructions on how to perform the replacement. Anyone else done the replacement?

I removed the old one and the pads where it sat doesn't look like metal. The capacitor is tiny and my best guess is that it was held in place by some type of thin double sided foil tape. It lifted right off the pads without leaving any residue. I tried some solder on the pad but it just isn't sticking!

Anyone who can shed some light on this?

I had the same date/time issue with my Git2.
The problem in my version was, that the capacitor was not soldered, but welded! I think soldering this tiny thing could generate too much heat for it.
I send the Git2 back to the manufacturer and got it back 6 weeks later and professional repaired.
Because of the brilliant service, I recommend this way of repairing.
