I am a whitewater rafting guide and bought a Git2 for recording our trips. I'm using the remote control to start and stop the camera so that I only film short clips that I want. I mounted the camera on the front of the raft pointed back towards the paddlers while I sit at the back of the raft.

The distance is only about 10ft/3m and it has clear line-of-sight. It takes several tries to get the remote to start or stop the recording. It works well when I'm closer. This is a brand new item I just bought from GearBest.

Do I need to put in a new battery or am I just expecting too much for the remote distance?

Hi!
My remote works with larger distances (7-9m) but I changed battery in it. Before that controler range was about half of current range and sometimes pressing button on controller didn't triggered camera.
