Taking Still pictures while filming a video.

I thought I saw this documented somewhere (or I am going mad).
Can you take still-pictures during video filming.
I know it sounds daft, but by this I mean, can frames/burtsts be sent to the DCIM directory as individual pictures while a Video session is being recorded.

If so, how; and what settings/formats do the pictures take as opposed tothe ongoing video recording format?

Yes, while its recording, just press the front power button to take a snapshopt
however they are low resolution, its basically a screenshot of the video, so 2mp at most

It it possible to take still fotos while recording automatically.
In the video menue choose Snapshot - off - 5s - 10s - 20s - 30s - 60s - off
I´m using FW 1.61

Yes it can take a photo every 5s if you set the video snapshot at 5s in the video menu

They are screenshots of the video with lower resolution instead of 16 mpx photos.

So the higher the video resolution the higher the screenshot s resolution?
