This article makes no sense.
V2.1 was released in Oct 2020. The way it organises the parking and driving mode files and how it purges the old files worked almost the same as V1.0 when it was out in Sep 2019.
It never had memory partitioning, only purging algo. Both parking and driving mode files get to use as much as the card has, until it is full, then the camera will purge the oldest one first.

Memory partitioning, or in thinkwares' case memory reservation, has its down sides.
If your driving partition or reservation is full, it cannot use the space for parking even if the parking partition or reservation is empty, and vice versa, not being able to use the space.
