Thanks for the idea. I don't own the slave camera. I upgraded and purchased because of the touch screen feature as it's quicker and easier to get to different settings compared to my Git1 & Git2. Except, my older cameras seem to do much better recording objects up close.

here's an example. I also have the 170 degree FOV G3 and i haven't updated its firmware. Its camera lens does a much better job being up close and in focus. This photo is from the 90 degree with latest V2.0 firmware

I must admit, I haven't used my G3 much other than recording a few landscape timelapses. Since the audio has a problem with connecting to an external mic i can't use it for vlogging much. Today i updated the firmware. How well does everyone's G3 with 90 degree FOV do with recording things...
