Any way to disable the screensaver?

I have the A129 Pro Duo. In the app's setting, I'm able to select the option 'never' under screensaver but it defaults to 1 second in the camera. Is this a bug on the app? I would like to have the screen on at all times.

I would always refer to what the options are in the cameras menu. The app covers a few different camera models, so some settings may not apply.

Possible that you cannot have the screen on all the time on the A129 Pro, as it will generate more unnecessary heat, possibly causing the camera overheat and shut down (all depends on your climate).
