Car Mode Not Working Correctly

Received my Camera at Christmas.

I'm planning to use it in my Track Car and I'd like to make use of Car Mode to auto turn on/start recording and stop shooting/turn off the camera.

I've put set the camera to Car Mode and tested with a 5V switched feed. Turning the power feed on, the Camera auto turns on and begins shooting, however when I switch the power feed off the camera continues to record and does not turn off.

Is this correct?

Worth noting I've tried two different power feeds and I've updated to the latest firmware.

Hi, this is correct,

with SJ5000+ cam, in car mode camera would turn off when lost power
with Git2 , car mode means power on , and when sd card is getting full, delete oldest videos ( which SJcam didnt do)
if the autostart is turned on, it will start recording straight away, when car power turned off, the cam will stay on, but then will auto poweroff according to its power settings.
I found the git2 car method better than the sjcam, i use car mode with git2 almost every day.

I've tested using auto capture and confirm it works. The instructions should be updated to detail this step (if its there already I didn't see it!)

If you didn't set the auto power off option, normally it will power off after 15 seconds, if you set that option, it will power off after the time you set.

I confirm that in the Car Mode, Git2P does not automatically power off after 15 seconds when Auto Power Off is set off. The only way to make it automatically power off is to turn on Auto Power Off with a value. The lowest value is actually 1 minute.
