I've ordered the dive housing. I'm running the 1.3 firmware. Will test the red wb settings tonight if I get time.

Anyway, which firmware do you have on your gitup, because mine has the 1.3 and when I go to custom wb and play with the red and blue numbers, nothing change. The colour is the same with red:1, blue:1 and red:9 blue:1 or red:1 blue:9. Also I noticed when I set the wb to red the colour of the image is rather orange than red. My setting is vivid setting, because I like the saturated colours. Have you noticed the same thing? Otherwise I did a test video outside in our car which has a quite dusty windscreen, and the colours are just amazing, so I don't want to return for this reason. It is maybe just a software issue.
I get the same behaviour as you (1.3 FW), custom white balance set to 9 blue or 9 red doesn't make any difference. Additionally the red WB mode is quite orange:

Also seems I'd forgotten that I had ordered some EelVision filters, which took 12 days to get to the UK from the US, as you can see they fit perfectly in the Git housing.

Hi, thanks for checking it. So nothing wrong with the camera itself. I read that the 1.4 firmware beta is ready and some gitup owner are testing it, but the final version will be released soon. I read there are few bugs in the firmware which they will fix. And we can set the custom wb the red and blue between 0-19. Hopefully it will make difference. Ah yes, you ordered it from the USA. Then can you send the dive housing and the red filter back to Amazon? If you keep the eelfilter, I think order one more gitup housing, it is around 9Pounds on banggood or gearbest, I ordered my gitup from banggood EU warehouse which is UK based and keep one housing with the elfilter in and the other without, because I read if you remove and insert too often this eelfilter that thin flap which is on the right side can break off. Also I tested yesterday in our pool the gitup housing, we have around 1.8m deep pool, it was at the bottom for more than an hour and the inside stayed dry and without any fogging up, however our pool temperature is 30°C the outside temperature until I went to the pool was around 7-8°C. So after that I put the camera in, and took some test shots with AWB and the light red and red WB, and the blue sidewalled pool came out yellow or green with the light red and red WB, so I think they are useless for diving and for snorkeling either, so I might order a snorkel filter as well, just in case.
So the gitup housing seems good, but it is difficult to remove the o-ring if it is dusty or they are some specs on it to wash off the dust from the rubber, but at least stayed dry. I couldn't test it deeper, but I read that some of the non-official gopro housing which costs 10-11Pounds leaked only during the snorkeling through the buttons.

My Flip4 had arrive, as just to confirm, it doesn't fit the Git2 case (see below), so I'll be keeping my GoPro case so I can use the Flip4. The Flip4 isn't cheap, but is very well made and being able to switch filter easily at different depths is a big plus.

What a shame. It is a tiny bit bigger. But could you use something which makes the gitup port a bit bigger, like glue some rubber or a piece of plastic to the top of it. And if it stays on, you don't have to remove the flip adapter, you just turn the filters down and up.

I was thinking about using something to fill the gap, but as I have the GoPro case now I'll stick with the proper combination. But if you want to save some money, I think the git2 case with a filler and Flip4 is a viable solution.

Hi all...got a question here. Is the go pro case really fits the Gitups 2 ? My friend told me ......he fit gitups in go pro case...and the gitups auto off by itself...after 10m diving,....he suspected it was due to the compression of the go pro case...that 'squeezed' the camera and push the on off button.

I've not had any problems with the official GoPro case and the Git2. Have done about 10 dives with this combination, deepest down to 20 meters.
