You don't need a filter with the Git camera, you can use custom white balance and increase RED / decrease BLUE as you like from the menu.

I'm looking for the same thing and was about to order the filter that you linked to.

Did you end up finding a filter that would fit, or a way to get that filter to stay on?

try with the eelvision red filter. It's a thin plastic, what you put inside of the housing, you can check the colours using this filter with action cameras on youtube. The colours are a way better than using a go pro red filter.

Nope, nothing from the Canadian guys. Gitup in China replied

"...currently we haven't developed our own filters, but will plan in near future. If you've got already the gopro cases, you can simply put Git2 into the gopro cases and apply the filters that suits for Gopro"

Please ad diving mode to the firmware, like Soocoo c30

Scuba divers will probably be those who will mostly appreciate the “Diving mode – Red light compensation” feature which allows to capture underwater videos with great color reproduction.

Maybe a bit off topic, but I've got today my gitup git2 camera. I set the white balance to the red settings, but the picture what it took from a halfly sunny and shady garden was orange color. It has the newest firmware on it. Is this right that for the red white balance the image is orange and not red? Has anyone noticed the same thing?
Also I noticed when I set it to custom wb when I tried 1 red,2 red, 3red I didn't notice much difference on the image, but I will test it on a white surface.
thanks

It stated Git2, but they have cancelled my order anyway. Think I'll be buying this to go inside my housing: http://www.mikesdivestore.com/products/1068-magic-filters-auto-magic-filter?variant=384562776
hi, yes the site is a bit confusing. I checked that link about the magic filter, it is good between 3-12m. And it is a 50mmx50mm sheet, and need to put it inside of the housing, how you wrote it. Then, I think the eelvisionfilter is a better choice. Cheaper, it is cuted in font of the lens already, and I think it works deeper too. I'm not 100% sure. You can check it on youtube. Somebody used it with the sjcam sj4000 and the colours are brilliant.

I would have got an EelVision filter, but t wouldn't arrive from the USA in time - can't find any UK sellers.

Ended up ordering a GoPro underwater case and the Backscatter Flip4 filter. would have considered using the custom red wb setting, but don't want to be fiddling with settings underwater. Shame the Git2 case isn't compatible with gopro filters.

Good idea. Have you ordered the standard housing or the dive one? If you ordered the standard one hopefully you will get the new version. I read a lot of reviews that the old standard housing opening latch is tend to break. I think I will order a gopro dive case from amazon, and buy a polarpro maybe the switchblade or just a polarpro red filter. I read somewhere that gitup will make a compatible red filter to their housing, but they don't have an official app either, so we could wait for ages until they make a red filter for the gitup housing. They have the gitup 1 which has the same housing, so they could make a red filter if they would wanted to.
Anyway, which firmware do you have on your gitup, because mine has the 1.3 and when I go to custom wb and play with the red and blue numbers, nothing change. The colour is the same with red:1, blue:1 and red:9 blue:1 or red:1 blue:9. Also I noticed when I set the wb to red the colour of the image is rather orange than red. My setting is vivid setting, because I like the saturated colours. Have you noticed the same thing? Otherwise I did a test video outside in our car which has a quite dusty windscreen, and the colours are just amazing, so I don't want to return for this reason. It is maybe just a software issue.
