The Sjcam battery works with both the Git1 and the Git2. The reverse is not possible, you can not use a git battery in a sj camera.

Hy guys i have one question, if i am using my GitUp on bike or when climbing the rock etc. and i need good sound also during my activity, so i can't use waterprof case, how can i protect my camera from folling and damage? Do i have to buy some suitable sceleton case from GoPro and then pierce holes on the place for mic?

Any GoPro case will fit and probably is the way to go, skeleton case and drilled holes, or an extra GitUp case to be drilled.

I used a GoPro case for my helmet. Not sure I would dunk it under water, but I am thinking it will be okay in mild rain.

It's too bad that they don't offer a different waterproof case with the ability to charge like SJcam offers. I also own the Sjcam 5000 plus and use the fitting I mentioned as a motorcycle cam with it's waterproof case that I can still charge up in it's protective case. I'm sure Gitup will offer something similar eventually

Yes, I bought the original gopro cable to record from the stereo out of my yamaha mixer into the cam,... working fine!

Surely there is a less crude way to enable access to the usb port for charging/microphone/connecting to computer and using inbuilt mic than having to cut away at a case? I would prefer to use the girup 2 in the waterproof case but then I lose the ability to record sound reasonably well. I am mainly concerned with protecting the lens from dirt/grit and providing water resistance from rain rather than being submerged in water.

What's my best option?

It is OK, but I don't think it is 1100mAh due to size limited.
