My Gitup Git2 seems to be dead

connect sd card to computer with card reader, remove firmware file then put back in camera

Did you try 1.3 with the bl file? as you need to d procedure twice, once for each file

How exactly did you solve it? It seems, that I am in the same exact spot as you are :/
The gitup2 won't start, only if a SD Card with the a firmware is inserted, and then it starts blinking until the green light shines steadily... but nothing more
What do I have to do now?

Copy it into Your card, plug it to the camera and let it update. Then get this:

I have the same problem with my git2, ive tried whats been suggested above but hasn't worked for me. Still dead help please!!!!
help please!!!!For me it worked like this: i took the card and put it to the card reader, then i deleted the content. Then i copied the old drivers to the card, put it into camera and connected to pc. The lights started to flashing and it has been installed. Then i took off the card, placed it in car reader and copierd the new drivers. Then i repeated the operation and everything was ok. Hope you will solve it that way.I have the same problem with my git2, ive tried whats been suggested above but hasn't worked for me. Still dead

You can try to upgrade with this loader then upgrade with V1.2 firmware.

Remove the battery from device, press power button for like 20 seconds, and few clicks on power button after that... to full discharge the camera..., then put the battery back...
Then... format micro SD card in computer, put only loader..., and flash it..., 2 short blinks and loader is flashed..., disconect from computer, remove the SD card from camera and than remove the loader file from micro SD card and put fw file and flash it..., camera will beep wnen flashing ends and turn on...
You can flash v.1.3, or v.1.4 beta, but only after flashing loader...
...this solved my problem...

My Git2 is completely dead. Ever since I updated the firmware yesterday, the camera is not working. I am unable to charge it in any way. My USB ports are working fine on my PC. I followed your steps above, but still no response. Nothing is blinking, turning on, etc...

What F/W version did you have before the update ?
My firmware was version 1.2 something if I am correct. I got the gift for Christmas 2015.

You need to re-update the loader, to do it as a blind update.
- Format the SD card in your PC (fat32, do not format to exFat or NTFS). If you use windows 10 it will format the card in exFat and it will not work !!!
- Copy the e LD (loader) BIN file to the root of the card
- Insert it into the Git2 and connect a USB cable to power it up
- Wait 1 minute (regardless if it starts or not)
- Unplug it, remove the SD card, put it into a card reader again
- Delete the LD file and replace it with the FW (firmware file).
- Put the SD card in the camera, connect power
Enjoy, you should have a working Git2

I have this similar problem and have tried every solution on here and nothing has worked. I tried to reinstall the 1.2 version and every time while loading the green light in the front and the red dot light by the screen just stay on but I have no response from the camara what so ever, I formated the card to proper specs and nothing, please any suggestions?

I solved it. If you have the same problem I did then when you load the LD bin file the green and red light just kept a steady on but no response from the camera. Leave the file loading for about a minute then remove sd card erase LD bin file and copy the 1.3 firmware version. Load the SD card to the camara and plug the camera into a power source not the laptop once the new 1.3file loads it should work and then all you have to do is update the firmware one by one 1.4 then 1.5
