I solved it. If you have the same problem I did then when you load the LD bin file the green and red light just kept a steady on but no response from the camera. Leave the file loading for about a minute then remove sd card erase LD bin file and copy the 1.3 firmware version. Load the SD card to the camara and plug the camera into a power source not the laptop once the new 1.3file loads it should work and then all you have to do is update the firmware one by one 1.4 then 1.5
Thank you i solved it too. I only used my P.C.
I copy the loaderand manage to re-install 1.2 after 3 tries. Then i just followed the usual update plan but i didn't install update 1.4. I went from 1.3 straight to 1.5

My gitup2 also seems to be dead.

The chronologies :
I updated the firmware to 1.6 by copying the .bin to the root of the micro sd, then put the card back to the camera, then turn on the camera. It updated the firmware successfully (I checked it by looking at the settings)

After a while, I turned off the camera.

Then, I tried to turn it on again, but no response. There are also no LED turned on if I put the charger on the camera. Nothing works.

I only have this camera for like 1 month..

Anything to say? @gitup ?

Do you know the previous firmware version, it is hard to brick the camera via firmware update.

It's v.1.4 0324

Do you think it may be caused by something else?
In V1.4 firmware, there is a loader, you can try to update the loader first.
Then try to put the firmware in the SD card and connect with the camera.
Another user report a firmware issue, and also said is dead, but finally solved.

Already did that. The camera still can't be turned on. The LED also not blinking when I push the power button.

My step :
- extract zipped file to the root of SD card (32 GB samsung class-10, FAT32 formatted). I only put the loader
- put the card in camera
- push the power button

The difference between my problem and other user is, I think other user still has their LED blinking, while me is not.

@gitup, it might be noted that after I updated the first time, the camera was working on the first run. I didn't take video/picture, I only check the firmware version, changed settings (e.g, activate gyro). And turn it off. The battery is still almost full. The next day, I cannot turn on my camera.

Same problem here. Tried every solution. Weird thing with my Git2 is that when the FW file is being loaded, the first 2-3 seconds the green light blinks slowly, and then for the next 2 seconds starts blinking really fast. Then it goed completely black and the camera responds to nothing.....

Stay`s dead and the only way to wake it up a bit is to remove the battery and hold the power button for a minute or so. Then I can only load the FW file again, nothing else. Camera doesn`t start, etc.

Dead as a brick..... More people experience these problems so Gitup should 'Git into action' I think.....

Hope to have a solution fast because I have the camera for only a week now....

FIXED IT. So after researching on here and on the GitUp Git2 Firmware website I fixed it. I was freaking out cuz I had the same issues. My Gitup was dead.
1. Format card in a card reader on your PC in FAT32 format
2. Copy and paste the GIT2FW.bin file onto your card. Its on their website. Open the file. Find the GIT2FW.bin file. Simple copy and paste.
3. Power on your camera using the power and menu button AT THE SAME TIME for a few seconds.
4. The red light will blink for about a minute. Then it should power on.
