3. Open the file and copy the .bin file directly onto the MicroSD card root file, make sure you formatted the card for FAT32 mode.

4. Insert the MicroSD card into the cam and power it on via a 5V/1A power source, e.g. cigarette lighter or power bank, it will start upgrade automatically.

5. While upgrading the photo status green light starts blinking(the light blinking slowly at the beginning, then blinking quickly), after the light stop blinking, it means upgrade is finished. (The whole process lasts about 30 seconds)

6. After upgrade, remove the SD card and delete the firmware, otherwise it will upgrade again when you power on the camera next time.

I downloaded the firmware update for the Git2 and used it to upgrade my friend's Git2 with no problem. But when I tried to upgrade my own Git2, the camera is frozen with the red light on the upper left rear side on. I had placed the GIT2LD.bin file on it, disconnected it and reconnected it. But now there is no video on the rear display of the camera and it doesn't mount on my Mac. Advice?

Could it be the problem of memory card? Or maybe you could follow below steps and try again
1. First upgrade the git2ld.bin, just copy the .bin file to the SD card, then connect it with computer, after that, delete the .bin file. You can use a card adapter to read the file on computer, then delete that file.
2. After delete the git2ld.bin, then copy the GIT2FW.bin to the card, and connect the camera with computer. Normally you will see the LED blinking.
If that not works, please rename the GIT2LD.bin to LDNH2.bin, then try to do above again.

, another FW update vid for your ref.

I solved the problem. After installing the GIT2LD.bin and rebooting, I rebooted a second time and the camera wouldn't mount on my desktop. So I removed the micro sd card, used the computer to remove GIT2LD.bin and copied GIT2FW.bin to the card, then reinstalled the card in the camera and restarted it. The camera installed the firmware update and worked fine after that.

I love the webcam function on Git2.

But one thing dissapointing is that it doesn't have 640*360 resolution.
We don't need 4:3 ratio with 640*480 resolution anymore.

If it has the 640*360 resolution, it will be great for Niconico live streaming, "http://live.nicovideo.jp/".
Could you get the 640*360 resolution for the webcam mode on next upgrade, please?

yap agree ,just check some other stream providers and here is the resolution list for stream
  • 1280 x 720 (HD)
  • 960 x 540
  • 640 x 360
  • 480 x 270
on ustream faq
  • The default Ustream player size is 640 x 360
  • We recommend streaming at a resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio

Hi, I am new here so Hello to Everyone :)

Could someone put here some links to original sample videos from Git2 1.5 firmware with the most natural colours and contrast. It is one thing which hold me to buy this camera - to much saturation and contrast comparing with Xiaomi YI.
Thank you in advance!

Hello, I am using the latest 1.5beta 0512. It fixed the quick start/stop of video recording by shutter button while screen is off. But, in same situation, when I use a remote control, I need to push button twice to start/stop a video since the 1st push wake a video screen, then the 2nd push start/stop a vide. Is there any possibility to change this to just one push? (same as shutter button?) This also confuse to start/stop a video from a remote control. Some of good recommendation here would be:

- Push remote control button, it immediately work as an original function (video, photo, wifi, power-off)
- If it is not power-off, it also wake a video screen together
- No need to push a button twice for wake a screen, then change a condition

I very much appreciate you can make this change similar to the shutter button while a video screen is sleeping.

https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=4716DAE764EA26B4!2812&authkey=!AMCDRptnYL-Ic8A&ithint=folder,
Lars, Could you put here link to some video file recorded in light/flat settings, that make the colours and contrast as natural as it is real is? I am thinking about buying this camera, but the colours (too much green, blue, red etc.) and contrast (the shadows are to dark) hold me before decision.

Question: is it possible to change the bitrate in this firmware?
