Hello I just got my Gitup2 cameras today.
I upgraded both cameras to firmware 1.5-0621
BUT, no way I could NOT connect my cameras to my iMAC 2011, 2.93ghz intel core i7, w/ 32GB RAM, running OS Yosemite 10.10.5 :-(
I tried with different cables (that do work with my other cameras and external hds) So the problem is not the cables or the computer
To upgrade I had copy the file to the root of my micro-card using a card reader and then put the card on the cameras and turn it ON, then waited for the lights to stop blinking and the camera to turn OFF alone
PLEASE :
-WHY can't connect to my iMAC
- where can I find the Getup APP on the Apple store ??? I'm in Brazil and it does not exist here.

Thanks for any help

I installed the most recent firmware update but now my photo timelapse stopped working. It will take the first pic but not on an interval like before. And before someone suggests I don't have the setting correct, trust me I do. ver git2_v1.5_0621

I rolled it back to version 1.4_0324 and it works again.

I reinstalled ver git2_v1.5_0621 and the photo timelapse now works. Only thing I can figure is either the version was fixed of my previous install glitched. Either way, it's working now.

Hello,

please consider fixing the issue of incorrect frame rates and available shutter speeds for PAL system. I think this is a major issue for many users who want to mix footage from different cams in the same video sequence.
Thank you.

Hi everyone, my first post here.
Just got the Git 2 I was about to update the firmware (mine came with V1.4_0324) but I only have a 64 GB micro sd card.
I know the upgrade instructions suggest to use a 32 GB card but anyone ever try to update from a 64GB?.
It is kind of a waste to buy a new a 32 gb card just for this reason, but yet again if is too risky to upgrade from a 64 gb I will.
Thank you.

I'm using 64GB SD also for FW update. Working without problem.

Thank you Nadol, I'm going for it . I'll report back soon.
Yep, confirmed, 64 GB card works like a charm. Updated to the last firmware in no time.
Thanx again

Anyone have this wifi problem with 1.5?
Yes I do on one of two cameras. I downgraded to an earlier Beta (GIT2FW--V1.5B--0422 I think) of the FW, and it runs Wifi but loses it's IP address after a while.

Hopefully you guys are working on a new stable firmware!?

My thread might help you if you still have the problem.

Thank you for the clear info update guidelines, the only extra thing I did was to format my 32GB card again to make sure the bin file was completely gone before placing back in my camera.

Update:

Don't know if this is a 1.5 update issue, but my Git2 Pro totally freezes when playing back videos; I have to take out the battery to restart the camera, but to me this camera is useless if I can not view my videos back via the LCD Screen. Any help please?

I purchased my GIT2 in July and it had 1.4 firmware so I upgraded to 1.5 and have had the issues with corrupt files and wifi sync not working/locking the camera. i want to go back to either 1.4 or an earlyer 1.5 beta that has been mentioned as not having the wifi issue....but I can only see the latest 'stable' 1.5version on the site....where can i get earlier versions?
If it helps with diagnostics, i have had the camera in car /dashcam mode with the auto start recording, & 1 minscreen timeout set- not very useful if the files are corrupt when you go to play them back!

We will release a new bug fix for Wi-Fi frozen issue soon.

Also working on V1.6 firmware, will release beta version soon.

Thanks Pagecode, I've downloaded the older 1.4 and will be apply until the fixes are published. @gitup, does the 1.5.1 or 1.6 beta fix the corrupt files issue as well?

Actually we haven't heard any corrupt files issues before, may I know what kind of memory card do you use, have you tried any other memory card?

I had a recently bought (class 10?) sandisk 8gig card but have just swapped that for a 32g sandisk card that I bought last week. I havent tried that yet. When I connected to the PC and mass storage I could see the files but no app could open them. I read elsewhere in this forum that others had had the same problem. The files were created in dashcam mode with loop set to 3minutes.

i just looked and similar in this thread
http://www.gitup.com/forum/index.php?threads/urgent-git2-freeze-after-recording.288/#post-1382
i had formatted the card in the git2 and then did one journey to test it and found the issue. I have since reformatted the card (put it back in another camera once the 32g file arrived). I have on recent journeys manually stopped the recording with I stop the car (as a thought was that the car powering off did not close the current file correctly). I'm not with the camera at the moment but will update later if I'm able to play back the files

I've just connected the camera to my PC and can view the files. The 32g card is full, the video files are 3 min long each and (with resolution of 1260/60fps) each file is 620Mb approx, so its recorded (and looped correctly) just under 2.5 hours of travel. I saw in another post that if any file was corrupt then none would play - I have manually stopped the recording each time I stop the car (i.e. not rely on the 3minute shutdown after the car power is removed to trigger a gracefull recording stop as I suspect that was the issue before).

I had this problem with the two button pushes to record. Heres what you do:
Wrist Remote Tips!
Goto System settings screen then press menu , click Quick Capture ON, scroll to next page by pressing the power button momentarily until you get to RC Pairing click the shutter button to select this and follow the pairing on screen instructions, THEN! scroll to RC OPERATION MODE set it to "STANDARD" it should now power up and record with one press, and from standby mode.
Does this fix the 2 push when NOT using the wrist remote? Mine takes 2 shutter pushes to start a recording without the wrist remote and the settings for it are off. Very frustrating after I got used to the one push.

Number 13 in this list is not fixed. 1.5 now causes me to push the shutter button 2 times to start a recording and it still shuts down power after 3.99gb. If it stays on and starts a new recording because I did not stop the first one, it will shut down power for sure after the second recording. Is there a fix other than going back to v1.3?
