@gitup I would like to record video in Full HD 60FPS (slow motion posibitity in postproduction) but I want to take photos simultaneously. But 1920 × 1080 is quite low defition for photos. Would if be possible to take 12Mpix photos while recording Full HD video? Or just photo having somewhat higher resolution than video. I know, that camera's hardware would be probably too weak to handle this task, but it seems to me to be better option than buying second camera for taking the photos while recording...

All my Full HD photos (let's say video printscreens, because that is what it really is) were unsharp, a bit blurry and it didn't look quite good on the computer. I'm really enjoying the camera althrough having hard times with almost everything now, maybe I'll have to return it to the local seller from whom I bought it...

You can reproduce this step
1. Turn on gyro in video mode
2. Connect with gitup app(android)
3. Browse pic/video

Gitup will hang. Can't do anything I have to remove battery to turn off

Same problem here, it's very frustrating.
It happens with all apps I've tried also the official (Android)

@gitup is it possible to add digital zoom option in video mode to the next firmware? Sensor resolution is much bigger than needed for 2K or Full HD.

Please reply to my question above about shooting images while recording, too. Thanks.

Black Screen White Dot. 1080p 30 FPS, Battery, 64GB.
How do I change my WIFI settings? #CCTV #LowLight

I tried some long overnight video footage on battery 1080p 30 fps as we get a lot of drunk morons sometimes wrecking cars, it produced two big files all black with a white dot in the centre, shows the clock and plays without audio, tried playback on multiple players like VLC etc, great in low light general but with faults like his are not reliable for CCTV use. Sandisc 64GB Class 10. maybe it was because it was 64GB but have read this happened to a few people.
Good battery life though, both files total 1hr 56mins.
""Also"" how do I Customise my Wifi Settings for User and Password ?? I was told it can be done.

GadgetJunkie, this is an action camera, not a CCTV surveillance camera.... do you have a snapshot of the image you are talking about with the white dot ?

Is it possible to change the way that the cam names files in future firmware?

I don't want to have the date as filename since when I unplug the cams from the battery, which I have to do to recharge them externally, the date resets and mixes everything up.

Rather I wantto have filenames like 1, 2, 3....

Or maybe CamA1, CamA2, CamA3... if possible that would be great.

I'm the happy owner of a brand new Git2P. I'm trying to update the firmware, currently V1.0_1215. I've followed the procedure on this page (http://www.gitup.com/content/8-how-to-upgrade-the-firmware-for-gitup-git2) countless times, including trying to upgrade the loader first (GIT2LD.bin), to no avail. Tried both connecting to the PC (per page instructions) and to a power source.

Both times, the little camera simply switches on again instantly, displaying the Mass Storage / Camera option screen. The LEDs never flash beforehand indicating that any update is taking place.

The card is a Fat32, 16Gb. I've used it successfully to record 4k video, both in 4:3 and 16:9 over and over on my little drone. Can't understand what I'm doing wrong! Help would be immensely appreciated!

Git2P has Panasonic sensor. I think this is big difference for firmware. Maybe this V1.0_1215 is the latest firmware for Git2P.
If you have Image rotation in menu, this is the latest.
Or try this "Default setting time is same as firmware released time." Take the battery out, and after some minutes in. If the default date is 2016. 12. 15. or something (not 2015), this is the newest

Sometimes i think the image gets a tad dark... the shadows sometimes turns into a black portion of the image, when with other cameras like the gopro 3+/4 you have details in the shadows...
It would be VERY good if in the next firmware we had an option where we could get something like a flat image... with just a bit less saturation and maybe contrast, where we could get more details in the shadows (more dynamic range if possible? :p)... It would be a LOT better for post processing/color grading!

I'm using the newest firmware and the image from my Git2 is very dark on automatic ISO - not only in shadow. It can be fixed with changing the ISO manually but I would like the camera to adapt better to the light automatically. Any thoughts on that?

The new firmware uses 60fps on low light -> darker image, use 30 fps and you will get more light.

Ok, thanks for the explanation but I need 60FPS in this case. Is there any setting which can change this behavior or is one of the older firmwares giving more light on 60FPS?

Older firmware was automatically dropping 60fps to 2x30fps (double frame) to make the camera able to shoot video in darker conditions.

Ok, but I'm not talking here about very dark conditions. I mean a full sun on the snow - super bright. The footage is much darker than on Hero3 for instance on auto settings. Can I avoid that somehow?
